Summer Group Childbirth Education Class
Childbirth Education for an Empowered Birth Experience
Pregnancy is a time of tremendous change, anticipation, and growth. Our Group Childbirth Education Class is designed to help you navigate this season with confidence by combining evidence-based education, pelvic health expertise, movement, and practical preparation for birth and postpartum recovery.
Led by a Pelvic Health Physical Therapist and Childbirth Educator, this class offers a unique opportunity to learn not only what happens during labor and birth, but also how to work with your body throughout the process.
Our goal is simple: to help you feel informed, prepared, and supported as you approach birth and early parenthood.
What You'll Learn
Understanding Labor and Birth
Learn what to expect during labor, birth, and the immediate postpartum period. We'll discuss the stages of labor, common interventions, pain management options, and how to navigate unexpected changes with confidence.
Preparing Your Body for Birth
Gain a better understanding of your pelvic floor, core, and changing body during pregnancy. Learn practical strategies to support comfort, mobility, and physical preparation for labor and recovery.
Movement, Positioning, and Hands-On Practice
Birth is an active process. We'll explore movement, positioning, breathing, relaxation, pushing, and comfort techniques that can help you feel more prepared and supported during labor.
Support for Partners and Birth Teams
Partners and support people play an important role during birth. You'll learn simple, effective ways to provide encouragement, physical comfort, and advocacy throughout the labor experience.
Informed Choices and Bodily Autonomy
Every birth is unique. We believe you deserve clear, balanced information about your options so you can make decisions that align with your values, preferences, and circumstances. Our role is not to tell you what choices to make, but to help you feel confident making them.
Postpartum Recovery and Pelvic Health
Birth is the beginning of a new chapter. We'll discuss physical recovery, pelvic floor healing, realistic expectations for the postpartum period, and ways to support your well-being as you transition into life with your baby.
Who Is This Class For?
This class is designed for pregnant individuals and their support partners who are looking for a thoughtful, evidence-based, and compassionate approach to birth preparation.
Whether this is your first baby or you've given birth before, you'll gain valuable knowledge, practical skills, and space to ask questions in a supportive environment.
All birth preferences and plans are welcome.
Our Philosophy
We believe that education builds confidence, movement supports the body, and informed choices foster empowerment.
Birth may not always unfold exactly as planned, but feeling prepared, supported, and connected to your choices can make a meaningful difference in your experience. We are honored to walk alongside you as you prepare to welcome your baby and begin your postpartum journey.
Prepare for birth with knowledge, movement, confidence, and support.
